NCARB Prize Submission Requirements

Submissions must contain all of the following submission materials in the format, quantity, and medium noted (please refer to the NCARB Prize 10 Submission Instructions):

Hardcopy CD-ROM
1. Submission Entry Form
Completed and signed form and attachment, if necessary; 8.5" x 11" portrait format.

Maximum of 2 pages.

2. Institutional Letter of Acknowledgement
Signed letter from the administrative head of the architecture school on institutional letterhead verifying that all submission information is accurate and true, that the submission has the support of the institution, and the submission is part of a for-credit course in the architecture curriculum.

Maximum of 1 page.

3. Non-Faculty Architect Practitioner's Registration Verification
A copy of the registration board's license verification web page or a signed original letter from the registration board with the Non-Faculty Architect Practitioner's name, initial registration date, and expiration date.

No page limit.

4. Project Abstract and Project Description Form
Completed digital form; 8.5" x 11" portrait format.

Maximum of 5 pages.

The Project Abstract and Project Description Form must be anonymous. Refer to C in the NCARB Prize Submission Instructions for more details.

5. Project Images
Digital photographic images of the project and project activities in development and implementation.

Minimum of 20 images.

6. Presentation Boards
Graphic and text presentation of the project:
  • 30" x 30" foam core presentation boards(s), maximum 1/2" thickness
    Maximum of 2 boards.
  • All presentation materials must be securely mounted to one side only; no three dimensional projections and/or overlays
  • No text in the top one-half inch horizontal band of each board; graphic elements are acceptable
  • No hinged or physically connected boards; boards must be separate
  • A graphic element on the reverse side across the seam between boards must indicate layout order
  • A 3" x 5" label with the project name, faculty project director's name, school name, and academic institution must be attached to the upper right hand corner of the reverse side of each board (See D, Submission Instructions)
The Presentation Boards must be anonymous.
