New England Conference
Margo P. Jones, AIA, LEED AP, of Greenfield, MA, was appointed to the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Architects in 2006. In 2009, she was elected director of the New England Conference (Region 1) on the NCARB Board of Directors. Jones has served on the Committee on the Intern Development Program (IDP) for three years and was chair of the EPC/Core Competency Linking Study Task Force.
In 1984, she founded Margo Jones Architects in western Massachusetts. Serving local communities, the firm has specialized in public architecture—schools, libraries, municipal and cultural institutions—as well as historic preservation. She served on the Massachusetts Historical Commission for seven years as the Boston Society of Architect’s representative. A number of the schools she has designed have garnered awards for design and strong energy performance.
Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago and a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She holds an NCARB Certificate and is licensed in Massachusetts and Vermont.
