NCARB has awarded a total of $25,000 in NCARB Grants to Iowa State University, Kansas State University, and the University of Southern California to fund projects that incorporate architecture practice and education.

November 2009

NCARB's latest monograph provides architects and design professionals with a much-needed methodology to evaluate existing buildings for new or continuing use.

October 2009

The 2009 survey of state architectural registration boards by NCARB indicates that there are currently 101,673 registered architects in the United States.

NCARB Prize 9 Winners Announced

The 2010 NCARB Prize recipients were announced at the ACSA Annual Meeting Banquet on 5 March 2010. The 2010 $25,000 grand prize winner is the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Five additional awards of $7,500 were awarded to the California College of the Arts; California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo; Louisiana State University; the Catholic University of America; and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Prometric Test Centers Close Due to Weather

Prometric closed several test centers on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27 due to the weather conditions in the northeast. Candidates scheduled to test at impacted centers on those days will be contacted by a Prometric representative to reschedule their exam. If you have not been contacted yet, contact the Prometric Candidate Services Contact Center (800/479-6215) or the ARE Helpdesk (800/896-2272) on Monday, March 1.
