2007 NCARB Prize

The 2007 NCARB Prize jury, comprising members of the Council's Practice Education Committee and six deans (or department heads or chairs) of NAAB-accredited architectural programs chosen by NCARB's regional leadership, met in March of 2007 in Philadelphia, PA. They considered 28 entries representing 18 different colleges and universities.

Both entries and jurors were divided into two groups based on regional affiliation. Each jury team evaluated a set of entries that was outside of the region in which members either taught or practiced. Teams were asked to select up to six finalists from within their group, which then would be reviewed by all jurors.

After an initial evaluation by the full jury, 7 “finalists” were identified and brought forward for a final judging. Six Prize winners were chosen, representing University of Virginia, University of Arkansas, University of Southern California, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Washington University in St. Louis.
