NCARB Grant Program

The NCARB Prize Grant program was launched in 2006 as an extension of the NCARB Prize for Creative Integration of Practice and Education in the Academy. As a separate funding venture, NCARB Grants are designed to help schools implement new programs that merge practice and education in a studio or classroom setting.

Each year NCARB awards up to a total of $10,000 through one, two, or three grants to NAAB-accredited programs to support the creation of new curricular initiatives that integrate practice and education.

Programs applying for NCARB Grants are encouraged to:

  • Explore different venues or innovative curricular methods or programs that will increase the practice/education link; and
  • Present concepts that may be more risk-taking than a school can initially afford on its own.
