ARE Pass Rates for 2001
Washington, DC—Candidate pass rates improved or remained consistent for six of the nine divisions of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) administered during 2001 compared with 2000.
The pass rates, by division, for all candidates (first-time and repeat) who took the ARE during 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 are listed below. Data are the most recent available from the Chauncey Group International, NCARB’s testing consultant.
As developed by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the ARE assesses a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide the various services required in the practice of architecture. It has been adopted for use by all U.S. registration boards and the Canadian provincial architectural associations as the registration examination for all candidates seeking architectural licensing.
For further details on the Architect Registration Examination, contact NCARB’s Professional Development department at 202/783-6500 or visit the ARE section of the NCARB Web site ([www.ncarb.org/are/index.html]).
