Proof that the applicant has a professional degree in architecture, obtained at a NAAB-accredited institution, after completing a study program for a minimum of five (5) academic years. 6. Proof of current licensure in good standing at base jurisdiction. 7. Proof of compliance with continuous education requirements (10 Lu's per year). 8. Fully completed form for Application for License under Reciprocity, including pictures and all required documents and fees.
SC Firms offering architectural services through the architect must be licensed.
TN All NCARB Certificate holders must meet Tennessee's minimum education and experience requirements (NAAB-accredited degree (or a substantially equivalent degree) with three years of experience; OR non-accredited four-year architectural degree deemed substantially equivalent to a NAAB-accredited degree or which is part of a five-year NAAB-accredited program with five years of experience; OR ABET-accredited architectural engineering or architectural engineering technology degree with seven years of experience).
VA Open book state specific exam.

FL Florida will accept validation of five years of licensed practice
IL Illinois requests IDP record if the person was licensed after 1998 and did not complete the IDP for the original licensure.
MN Minnesota began requiring the IDP in July 1990. Any comity applicant who was originally licensed in their base state on or after July 1990 MUST have completed IDP to become licensed in Minnesota, even if the IDP was not required in their base state at the time of their original licensure.
MS Yes, but the board will accept the formal alternatives to the IDP as outlined in the Handbook for Interns and Architects. Except when the IDP is required for all applicants graduating or entering the exam process on or after July 1, 1996.

NY Retroactive documentation of experience is required for those who are architects in another jurisdiction or those who are architects in a foreign country, licensed after September 1, 1999.
OK Applications are evaluated on having three years of acceptable experience as the standard at the time of the initial licensing.
OR However, if no IDP, then two years of experience practicing as an architect after registration in another jurisdiction will be deemed equivalent.
