Your IDP work setting is where you work and who you work for. The most common IDP work setting is under the direct supervision of a registered architect in a firm encompassing the comprehensive practice of architecture (see work setting A). You may earn experience in other work settings; however, there are limitations to the amount of experience that can be earned in alternate work settings. All of the work setting descriptions and limitations are outlined in the IDP Guidelines.
