2012 NCARB Practice Analysis of Architecture
The 2012 NCARB Practice Analysis of Architecture will provide essential insight into the practice of architecture. Findings are significant to the profession and will help: drive the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®), inform the Intern Development Program (IDP), and guide NCARB's response to the 2013 National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) Accreditation Review Conference (ARC). The results will also be used to inform the Council's continuing education policies.
The 2012 NCARB Practice Analysis Survey
During April 2012, NCARB surveyed more than 80,000 architects, interns, and educators across the country. Survey content addressed specific tasks and knowledge/skills related to pre-design, design, project management, and practice management, as well as general knowledge and skills. The collected data will be used to identify the tasks and knowledge/skills necessary for the independent practice of architecture.
Survey Results
Now that the 2012 NCARB Practice Analysis of Architecture Survey has been conducted, the consultant (PSI) will analyze the data and submit a report with recommendations based on the data collected to the NCARB Board of Directors for acceptance. The findings will be posted on the NCARB website when finalized.
Thanks to all who took the time to give back to their profession by taking part in the survey.
