NCARB Presidents: 1920-Present

During an American Institute of Architects (AIA) convention in May 1919, 15 architects from 13 states came together to form an organization that would become the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Emil Lorch of Ann Arbor, MI and Emery S. Hall of Chicago, IL were initially elected chairman and secretary respectively. One year later, on May 6, 1920, Lorch was elected NCARB's first president.
