Jon Alan Baker, FAIA, LEED AP, San Diego, CA, is a senior partner of NTD Architecture, which specializes in the design of educational, healthcare, and civic facilities and maintains seven offices in California and Arizona. Baker's experience covers 30 years of professional practice including 27 years with the firm and 23 years as a partner. He holds an NCARB Certificate and is licensed to practice architecture in eight states.
He has been a member of the California Architects Board since 2005 and actively involved in NCARB since 2006 as regional chair for Western Conference (Region 6), Regional Chairs Committee, and the ARE. In 2009, Baker was inducted into the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) College of Fellows by the AIA in recognition of his career-long achievements in advancing the profession of architecture. He is the former president of AIA San Diego Chapter including eight years as a board member. He also served two years on the board of the AIA California Council.
Baker is a current board member for two nonprofits: Jr. Achievement for San Diego & Imperial Counties and The Poway Unified School District Educational Foundation.
As a LEED Accredited Professional, Baker provides professional leadership in the design of sustainable facilities and contributes to the implementation of sustainable practices among his firm and clients that influence the development of Green and environmentally responsible design.
